It can be challenging to start teaching at a new school. We have designed the New Starter Programme to support new teachers who join us and make their transition to Queensmead as smooth and comfortable as possible.
The New Starter Programme is a detailed and informative programme in place to ensure all new staff get the full support, guidance and information they need to continue their teaching career with us here at Queensmead. The programme includes CPD sessions on general school information, behaviour management and software/programmes we use, as well as the policies and procedures we have in place. Alongside this, there are Teaching and Learning sessions and Learning Walks around the school to help gain a wider understanding of teaching life at Queensmead.
