Community Languages
At Queensmead school, students who can speak a Community Language (for example, Arabic, Polish, Portuguese, etc) have the opportunity to take their GCSE/A level as long as they can write accurately and speak fluently in their home language.
For the GCSE qualification, students will have to be in Year 10 at least to be entered to sit the exams. Regarding the A Level qualification, they can be entered in Year 12. The school will offer guidance about what is needed to sit the exam.
If your child speaks another language at home and would be interested in doing the extra qualification, please contact Mrs Alves (nalves@qmschool.org.uk) for more information.
