Drama Productions

At Queensmead we put on an annual school production of a well-known play or musical.

We hold open auditions so that all students are welcome to be involved in these productions and every student who chooses to audition is guaranteed a part in the production, whether as a leading or a supporting role.

In addition to this, there are also students who choose to support with the backstage running of the production. This includes props, the set and transitions between scenes, which enables them to gain valuable skills and experience in effective communication, management and teamwork.

The final performance is open to parents, peers and families to see and celebrate in the students’ practical application of dramatic skills. Being involved in the School Production is a great way to develop confidence in public speaking and communication, along with forming some great friendships.
