STEM is the cross-curricular application of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. After school on Thursdays, the Queensmead STEM group get together to apply a range of practical, theoretical and problem-solving skills to small-scale projects. We have recently completed a pinball machine and are finishing off a ukulele which will be decorated using the Queensmead values. As STEM is the fastest growing industry in the UK, all students are encouraged to attend STEM club to help to develop invaluable skills inside and outside of the classroom. In addition to STEM club, numerous students have been appointed as STEM ambassadors to help promote the subject around the school, to design and run competitions alongside other exciting opportunities.
