On Wednesday 8th May a theatre company visited Queensmead to deliver a performance to promote road safety. The performance was very important for students in Year 7 as they are more likely to be involved in an accident on the road.
The serious truth was matched with humorous jokes. It highlighted that dangerous roads, like the one near our school, can put young people more at risk of getting hurt. They also stressed that many accidents are caused by silly behaviour and people taking risks at the side of the road.
They shared results of a recent survey which made Year 7 students consider how they can improve their everyday behaviour especially while walking to and from school.
The performance was very enjoyable and delivered a strong message.
