Jack Petchey Awards

The Jack Petchey award is designed to recognise a wide range of achievements.  Students are nominated not just for academic achievement but can also include their endeavor to overcome challenges or acts of kindness.  Each month the recipient of the award receives a framed certificate and badge as well as £250 to be spent on something of their choice that will benefit others at Queensmead.

On Tuesday 2nd April the recipients of the Jack Petchey Achievement award from Queensmead attended the Hillingdon Awards Evening held at the Beck Theatre.  All our recipients received their award from the Mayor of Hillingdon.  It was a fabulous occasion that gave family and friends an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the winners from Queensmead as well as the many schools across the borough.  Our students were nominated for a range of reasons from working as mental health ambassadors, running charity events, gaining work experience at Disney and being
fantastic role models.

In addition, Mrs Barry, our Student Study Supervisor, was selected as the recipient of the Leaders Award. Mrs Barry was nominated for all the support and guidance she has given students in preparation for their examinations. Mrs Barry was nominated by a large number of students and she was able to collect her award during the evening.
