In preparation for National Careers Week, Queensmead hosted its second Careers Fair in the hall on February 27th.
The event was very well attended by thirty different employers, Further Education Colleges, Universities and Apprenticeship providers. This year we welcomed the return of companies such as British Airways, Brunel University, The Royal Air Force, The British College of Osteopathic Medicine and also included some new companies such as ACER, The London Fire Brigade, The Civil Service, JTL Apprenticeships, Global Academy, Fashion Retail Academy, Greene King,BCA ,HOB and MITE, St Mowden Homes and many more.
The London Borough of Hillingdon attended with student ambassadors to talk about opportunities and routes into working for the local authority including ex student Ryan Galvin who was happy to talk to students about his journey into the world of work. Students from Years 8, 9, 10, 11 and Post 16 were able to attend the fair and speak to exhibitors who were on hand to offer students information on a range of career options and advice to support them in making the right choices in the future.
